Serious Games: Play to Understand, Change to Improve
Leadership teams and founders face more information than they can process, with AI adding even more. Projects slow down or stall, while departments focus on their own priorities. But how do you identify mistakes that happen so routinely that nobody notices them anymore?

Vision

Organisational change does not have to begin with another strategy or restructuring plan. Court of Moravia helps teams understand their own behaviour and recognise the patterns holding them back. These insights then become the starting point for meaningful change.

Gamechanger

"For the past ten years in Brno, we have been doing something between business transformation and black magic," says Filip Gábor from Court of Moravia. Alongside organisational design, the team uses a less conventional approach – business simulations known as serious games. Their full-day experience, Xpactum, takes leadership teams and founders to Renaissance Venice. They face an unclear assignment, a limited budget and time pressure. Sound familiar? That is exactly the point. A fictional challenge reveals real behaviour and the same mistakes people make in their everyday work. But in a simulation, those mistakes are easier to recognise, discuss and address. Xpactum combines diagnostics, simulation and a change workshop in a single day.

Who is it for?

Founders and leadership teams in startups and corporations facing significant change – a new strategy, a revised business plan, a merger, cultural transformation or changes in management.

What has worked so far?

Court of Moravia has spent ten years working on organisational design and business transformation. The team has been using serious games for some time and, according to Filip, already knows the approach works. They are now bringing that experience into a new full-day format, with plans to measure its long-term impact.
Court of Moravia is looking for two to three companies to try Xpactum at a pilot price and help measure its long-term impact. What actually changes in a company after a day of simulation? That is what they want to find out together.
