Moraven: Drones You Can Repair in the Field
Military drones and ground robots can cost millions. Yet demanding field conditions can damage them quickly, and repairs often involve lengthy logistics. Cheaper alternatives may introduce security risks. How can military and emergency units access affordable, reliable technology without depending on complicated repair processes?

Vision

We want secure robotic technology to be affordable, not a privilege reserved for well-funded units. Moraven is developing drones and ground vehicles built from European components, designed to be easier to repair and return to service. Rather than relying on a few expensive machines, the aim is to make reliable technology accessible for wider deployment.

Gamechanger

Moraven is developing modular electronics for aerial drones and ground robots, using exclusively European components. Combined with 3D printing, this approach makes it easier to replace damaged parts and reduces dependence on lengthy repair and supply chains. The goal is affordable equipment that can be maintained and deployed with greater flexibility. “We are one of the few teams capable of building effective drones and ground vehicles using the components available in Europe.”

Who is it for?

Armed forces, police and firefighters. Teams operating in demanding conditions where reliable equipment matters and waiting for centralised repairs is not always an option.

What has worked so far?

The idea came from a real conversation with the Czech Army. At a children's event organised through one of Pavel's previous projects, his team met representatives of the Army General Staff. The officers jokingly compared soldiers to children – give them something, and they will break it. Behind the humour was a serious challenge: expensive equipment gets damaged, while repairs depend on slow logistics. Today, Moraven has a five-person team brought together through Pavel's previous projects. The team collaborates with the University of Defence in Brno and draws on the expertise of experienced army officers.
Moraven is opening its first investment round and looking for investors to support the next stage of development.
