Simon Drake co-founded Space Ventures Investors (UK) in 2014, which invests in pre-seed and seed stage space companies, plus selected equities.
Following investor feedback, in 2020 he co-founded a company to focus on space resources: the Lunar Resources Registry in Germany, which then participated in a European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre in Germany, and was then in a Thales Alenia Space - Space Business Catalyst accelerator in Italy, in the first half of 2025.
He is focused on developing a Strategic Space Value of companies, that extends to exploring the Moon and extracting resources. In 2025, to meet European demand from investors and start-ups, he co-founded European Space Ventures AG in Frankfurt, Germany.
